Job summary

Greenwood Star is seeking a Groundskeeper/Make Ready Technician to maintain the community’s cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal while preparing vacant units for new residents. You will support the maintenance team by ensuring properties remain attractive and move-in ready.

Responsibilities include inspecting vacant units, performing repairs, painting, coordinating with vendors, and keeping detailed records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
• Experience in property management or residential maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community, including grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, breezeways, stairwells, and building entrances.
• Pick up trash and debris, empty outdoor receptacles, clean dumpster or compactor areas, and maintain pet-waste stations.
• Perform repairs as needed to ensure units are in optimal condition.
• Paint and clean units to enhance their appearance and ensure they are move-in ready.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services that exceed the technician's capabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with property management regarding progress and any issues encountered.
