Job summary

BGSF is hiring Make Ready Technicians in Lawrence, KS for immediate start. This full-time role offers 40+ hours per week with overtime opportunities and shifts available across seven days.

As a Make Ready Technician, you will prep vacant apartments for new residents, performing painting touch-ups, cleaning, minor repairs, and general turn duties. No driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Dependable, hardworking and hands-on attitude.
• Experience with painting, cleaning, moving furniture or basic repairs is helpful.
• Candidates with apartment turn or multifamily maintenance exposure are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Paint and touch up as needed.

We’re Hiring Make Ready Technicians ASAP!

BGSF is hiring multiple Make Ready Technicians in Lawrence, KS, and we need people who can start immediately!

We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to help prepare hundreds of apartments for upcoming move-ins. We are adding multiple Make Ready Technicians to help handle a major turn period.

We're looking to hire as many qualified technicians as possible and can have people start ASAP!

Full-Time Hours + Overtime Welcome!

• $20.00/hour
• Full-time position
• Work available 7 days a week
• Typical hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Overtime is welcome for those who want additional hours
• 40+ hours per week available
• Additional hours may be available after 5:00 PM when needed
• Immediate start available
• Multiple positions available

What You'll Be Doing

As a Make Ready Technician, you'll help prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents. We're looking for candidates with basic hands-on skills who are ready to work.

Responsibilities may include:

• Painting and completing paint touch-ups
• Cleaning vacant apartments
• Moving furniture and materials
• Completing basic apartment repairs
• Patching drywall and performing minor touch-ups
• Replacing blinds, fixtures, hardware, and other apartment components
• Assisting with general apartment turn work
• Inspecting apartments and helping ensure they are move-in ready
• Keeping work areas clean and organized
• Assisting with additional maintenance tasks as needed

Depending on the workload and staffing each day, you may work independently or alongside other technicians.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be an expert maintenance technician to succeed in this role. We're looking for people who are dependable, hardworking, hands-on, and ready to get the job done.

Experience with any of the following is helpful:

• Painting
• Cleaning
• Moving furniture
• General maintenance or handyman work
• Basic repairs
• Apartment turns or Make Ready work
• Safely using basic hand and power tools

No driver's license is required.

You will never be required to drive a golf cart.

Previous apartment Make Ready or multifamily maintenance experience is a plus, but we're also open to candidates with general maintenance, construction, facilities, residential, or hands-on labor experience.
