Irvinton Village Apartments in North Houston is hiring a Porter/Make Ready (Ticket Runner) to prepare vacant units for market readiness and assist the maintenance team on-site. The role includes cleaning, painting minor repairs, and curb appeal improvements to ensure homes are ready for new residents.

The position emphasizes customer service to residents, safety compliance, and teamwork within a HUD-property environment. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements.
• Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris.
• Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas.
• Maintain dumpster and trash areas.
• Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents.
