Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an MBWWH-focused engineer to drive make-buy decisions for assigned programs. You will work with design, manufacturing, and systems engineering to evaluate capabilities, develop cost models, and provide data-backed sourcing recommendations.

You will engage with program leaders, translate complex trade-offs into clear guidance, and contribute to affordability, schedule, and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree with daily interface to technical teams.
• Requires 3–5 years in aerospace manufacturing, system engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in cost modeling, data analysis, and decision packaging.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MBWWH analyses for program parts and processes.
• Evaluate internal vs external manufacturing options for cost, schedule, and risk.
• Build cost models and scenario analyses to support sourcing recommendations.
• Identify missing make/buy designations in BOMs and resolve gaps.
• Embed in the program as MBWWH representative at design reviews and milestones.
• Collaborate to assess producibility and design-to-cost opportunities.
