Job summary

UVM Health - Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Philanthropy Officer to join the Development Team. The role focuses on major donor solicitation and engagement, building strong donor relationships, and executing strategies for major gifts, events, stewardship, and grants.

You will collaborate across UVM Health Development and Shared Services to create and implement a comprehensive fundraising program and maintain a robust major gifts portfolio, reporting to the Director of Philanthropy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fundraising, sales, marketing, public relations, and/or communications experience.
• Broad base knowledge of non-profit fundraising programs, including gift cultivation and stewardship.
• Experience in frontline fundraising of gifts $25,000+.
• Effective project management skills from project/process management and initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in Development operations and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a major gifts portfolio and execute strategy on major donor events, donor acquisition, stewardship, and grants.
• Build meaningful relationships with donors, potential donors, and community members.
• Collaborate with Development Offices across UVM Health and Development Shared Services.
