Job summary

UVM Health is seeking a Philanthropy Officer for Central Vermont Medical Center to advance a major gifts program within the Development Team. You will cultivate donors, solicit mid-to-large gifts, and build strategic partnerships with philanthropic partners across UVM Health.

You will manage a major gifts portfolio, organize donor events, and drive stewardship and grant initiatives, reporting to the Director of Philanthropy. Strong relationship-building and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in frontline fundraising with gifts $25,000+.
• Broad knowledge of non-profit fundraising programs and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a major gifts portfolio and engage donors.
• Solicit gifts from major donors and support donor acquisition.
• Plan and execute major donor events and donor stewardship activities.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities and manage related workflows.
• Collaborate with Development teams across UVM Health.
• Maintain strong donor relationships and track progress.
