An established industry player is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to join their dedicated team in New York City. This pivotal role involves building relationships with high-net-worth individuals and managing a portfolio of major donor prospects. You will play a key part in supporting the organization's ambitious fundraising goals, contributing to a collective agency target of $28 million. The Major Gifts Officer (MGO), reporting to the Vice President, Individual Giving & Revenue Operations and/or the Senior Director, Major Gifts, will work as part of a team of individual major gifts officers for HIAS. Major gifts at HIAS are defined as donors of $25,000 annually and above. This cohort will play a large role in supporting the goals and aspirations of HIAS’ newly passed strategic plan, taking the organization through 2030. The MGO will be responsible for its geographic region, and for coordinating with a team of several other MGOs, the mid-level giving team, and the digital and mass market fundraising team.
It is expected that within the next several years, by broadening and upgrading the prospect base and outreach to new constituencies, the MGO will be able to grow both the number of prospects and donors and the total amount raised. To accomplish this task, this position will have the support of the development office for development infrastructure, reports, analytics, and pertinent collateral materials for proposals and grant submissions to donors.
Note, the salary range for this position is $130,000.00-155,000.00. This position is based at our office in New York, New York.
