Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Tennessee is seeking a Major Gift Officer to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and lead major gifts fundraising efforts. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors of $10,000 or more, while collaborating with the Philanthropy Council, Advisory Boards and Foundation team.

You will drive strategy for annual and campaign goals, advance planned giving, and coordinate with the donor management system and marketing to enhance fundraising impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3-5+ years of fundraising experience with major gifts & events.
• Ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
• Highest standards of ethics as accepted by fundraising community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead fundraising strategy to grow annual and campaign major gifts.
• Launch and build planned giving program focusing on deferred gifts.
• Set membership, dollar & retention goals for Special Gifts Club and Corporate Giving.
• Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects with tailored plans.
• Solicit and steward Signature Gift donors of $50,000+ including Gifts Club members.
• Maintain donor roster using moves management & regular donor contact.
• Engage volunteers for donor engagement and fundraising activities.
• Provide regular progress reports to the Philanthropy Director.
• Collaborate with marketing to preserve brand integrity.
