Job summary

Chicago Foundation for Women is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to lead major gift fundraising and planned giving initiatives within the Development team. Reporting to the Director of Donor and Community Engagement, the MGO will identify and cultivate prospective major donors, develop effective solicitation strategies, and steward donors throughout the process.

The salary range is $85,000–$90,000 with comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and a 403(b) plan.

• Experience in major gifts fundraising and donor stewardship.
• Ability to conduct prospect research and develop solicitation strategies.
• Proven track record collaborating with boards and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective major donors and planned giving donors.
• Develop and implement solicitation strategies to meet fundraising targets.
• Steward donors throughout the major giving process and acknowledge gifts.
• Work with board members and senior leadership to coordinate long-term fundraising initiatives.
