Job summary

United Way of East Central Iowa is seeking an Individual Engagement Manager/Major Gifts to lead major gifts fundraising and deepen relationships with individual donors in Cedar Rapids. You will manage a portfolio of prospects, cultivate relationships, solicit investments, and steward donors toward leadership, planned, and endowment giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5–7 years fundraising experience preferred.
• Education alternative of 10+ years related experience accepted in place of degree.
• Preferred fields: Non-Profit, Fundraising, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Communications, Relationship Manager.
• Affinity Group: Emerging Leaders United assignment and donor engagement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, cultivating relationships, soliciting investments, and stewarding gifts.
• Collaborate with UWECI leadership, volunteers, and internal teams to implement donor engagement strategies and support giving societies.
• Lead in development and leadership of giving societies including Tocqueville and Emerging Leaders United as assigned.
• Research, analyze, and communicate donor trends to drive growth in donors and revenue.
• Utilize CRM to record visits, maintain donor information, and ensure data integrity.
• Attend UWECI events and collaborate with Community Impact staff on donor stewardship and engagement.
• Lead monthly steering committee meetings and affinity group event planning for Emerging Leaders United.
