Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County seeks a Major Gifts and Campaign Director to lead the development of sustainable fundraising relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, and government funders. This role focuses on securing major gifts for general operating support and capital campaigns.

You will work closely with the CEO, board, and development staff to identify prospects, craft proposals, and present compelling campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Supports the CEO in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts and grants from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies and others.
• Point person for donors for the organization including donor recognition, support, cultivation, retention and relationship management.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to current and prospective donors.
• Manage a portfolio of donors including regular communication, meetings and personalized stewardship.
• Leads and supervises our Resource Development staff and department, including employees in the areas of grant writing, special events, donor data management, annual giving, local club events, donor prospecting, and donor relationships.
• Attends meetings, events and other networking opportunities to build donor support and relationships.
• Utilizes donor data to make educated and knowledgeable decisions on obtaining financial support.
• Works closely with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County Board of Directors to facilitate and build relationships with potential donors.
• Makes specific major gift asks for our organization, including major gift asks for our Capital Campaign.
• Identifies and cultivates planned giving prospects.
• Measures and communicates progress to plan.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County began in 2001 and now serve over 1500 club members each year at multiple club locations. The Club is currently working with community partners to establish additional club sites in underserved communities.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Major Gifts and Campaign Director will work to create and implement strategic plans for initiating and developing sustainable relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, corporations, government funding agencies, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and others to obtain major gifts of financial support for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County for both general operating support and campaigns including capital campaigns.
