Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA seeks a Major Gift Officer to engage the local community and advance youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through major gifts.

You will cultivate gifts over $1,000, maintain active regional donor relationships, travel across Greater Philadelphia branch locations, collaborate with Marketing, ensure compliance, and produce monthly to annual fundraising reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in major gift fundraising.
• Knowledgeable in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and donor relations.
• Willingness to travel across Greater Philadelphia branch locations.
• Technical proficiency in donor research and CRM platform.

Responsibilities

• Connecting members to the philanthropic goals of Greater Philadelphia YMCA.
• Nurturing gifts of more than $1,000.
• Maintaining an active presence in the region to identify new or growing major gift prospects.
• Prioritizing donor touches and sound stewardship for current and potential prospects.
• Supporting regional operations teams in major gift fundraising and pipeline cultivation.
• Collaborating with Marketing to design and execute internal and external communications.
• Ensuring compliance with internal and legal policies and procedures.
• Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

• Knowledgeable in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, leading teams, and donor relations


• Willingness to travel across Greater Philadelphia branch locations


• Technical proficiency in donor research and CRM platform

• Collaborating with the Marketing Department to design and execute internal and external departmental communications
