Position Overview:

Busy wedding catering hall, The Briarcliff Manor, is looking for a professional to fill our Maître D' position immediately.

*Looking for local candidates - Ideally residing within 15-20 miles of our location in Briarcliff Manor, NY. * This is a part-time role requiring nights and weekends.

Immediate Hiring:

The right person for the role has true Maitre D experience with:

  • 10+ years of Banquet Experience
  • 10+ years of Management Experience
  • Sales Experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and directing all aspects of service, catering procedures, organizing, and setting up the dining room, and executing events
  • Vendor Management
  • Staff Scheduling, interviewing, hiring, and training new applicants, and employee development of service staff
  • Exceeding customers’ expectations with professionalism and genuine service
  • Inventory management and ordering
  • Conducting sales tours and liaising with Sales/Office Team and Kitchen to ensure all details are communicated and coordinated
  • Overseeing maintenance and cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Meeting with clients to ensure satisfaction
  • Providing feedback and periodic reports to management
  • Handling other ad hoc projects
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of banquet experience and management experience
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Proven event management skills
  • Ability to take direction and feedback from management
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to build productive business relationships
  • Capability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Physical ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for long periods
