Location: Venice Beach, CA
Wage: $22 per hour + tips
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Belles Beach House is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Maitre D’ to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for managing reservations, seating arrangements, and ensuring a seamless dining experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Maitre D’, you will oversee the flow of service by managing reservations, walk-ins, and seating assignments while maintaining a polished and professional presence. Your role is key in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

What You’ll Do
  • Greet guests warmly and manage check-ins for reservations and walk-ins
  • Organize and oversee the reservation book to maximize seating efficiency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance area and venue
  • Assist with incoming calls and answer guest inquiries
  • Strategically seat guests to balance service and enhance the guest experience
  • Support the dining room team with initial table setup and guest accommodations
  • Prepare and organize menus, ensuring all materials are updated and available
  • Follow all opening, closing, and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate effectively with management, kitchen, and service staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous hospitality experience required
  • Prior Maitre D’ or front-of-house leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant, lounge, or nightclub environment
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
