Danieli Corporation, the US arm of Danieli, seeks a Shift Leader for the Thin Slab Caster‑Mold & Segment Workshop in Apple Grove, WV. The role supervises the workshop crew, ensures maintenance plans are followed, and enforces safety and environmental standards. Reports to the workshop manager and leads shift teams.

The candidate should have 3–5+ years in iron/steel maintenance with a strong mechanical background and be willing to travel up to 70% for training and customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent technical training.
• 3+ years in iron & steel industry or 5+ years in a similar role with a strong mechanical background.
• Knowledge/experience with Corrective and Preventative Maintenance; Casting and/or Hot/Cold Rolling advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally for training and customer sites.

Responsabilités

• Supervise, monitor and participate in maintenance operations, conveying guidelines to the crew.
• Ensure staff follow safety policies and maintain safe work practices.
• Organize and maintain work areas and equipment.
• Identify obstacles (material shortages, design issues, quality problems, equipment failures) and report them promptly.
• Ensure timely and accurate time/resource reporting for shift work via the maintenance IT system.
• Drive continuous improvement to safety, productivity and quality of machinery and procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
