Job summary

Building One Facility Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker in Manchester, CT for either part-time or full-time hours. The role involves general building maintenance, basic plumbing, light painting, door hardware, and using common hand tools while following safety guidelines.

You will perform light cleaning duties, waste disposal, and support site operations with reliable transportation. Candidates must be able to speak and understand English and have at least two years’ related experience.

Qualifications

• Due to site requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holder).

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance including light painting, basic plumbing, installing and repairing doors and door hardware.
• Must know how to safely use common hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, etc.
• Light cleaning duties: empty and clean waste receptacles and remove rubbish to designated areas.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.

MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General building maintenance, including light painting, putting anchors in walls, basic plumbing, installing and repairing doors and door hardware. Must know how to safely use common hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, etc. In addition, will perform light cleaning duties such as Empty, clean all waste receptacles, and remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated area; damp wipe receptacles as necessary.

• Hand dust and wipe clean all furniture, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, and all other hardtop surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms (sinks, toilets, countertops, floors, mirrors, etc.)
• *Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Maintenance/Handyman/ Janitorial job related.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and take direction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Track record of finishing assigned tasks effectively within limited time.
