Harford County Government is seeking a Maintenance Worker for Parks & Recreation in Fallston, MD. This full-time position involves routine maintenance and repair of parks, facilities, and county property, with on-call snow response and event setup duties.

Responsibilities include operating a wide range of equipment, light janitorial tasks, and assisting in landscaping and stormwater maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Class C driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in building maintenance, ground maintenance, landscaping or farming.

Responsibilities

• Grooms ball diamonds, erects goal posts, repairs fencing and backstops, backboards, nets, and rims.
• Removes trash from parks, playgrounds, and other areas.
• Performs light janitorial work and operates maintenance equipment.
• Drives pickups, SUVs, vans, and utility trucks; transports equipment with a trailer.
• Cleans exterior of buildings and machinery; performs minor carpentry/painting as needed.

Work is inspected during progress and upon completion.Job Description:Salary Range: $37,139.00-$99,026.00**BUDGETED SALARY: $39,500.00/ANNUALLY** Essential Duties:(The following examples illustrate the work performed in the positions in the class.
