City of Springfield is seeking Maintenance Workers to join the Park Operations division, focusing on the upkeep of over 3,200 acres across 105 locations including ball fields, trails, structures, pavilions, and playgrounds.
Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, flusher trucks, and various loaders, with at least one weekend day in the set schedule. CDL licensing is required within specified timelines; a drug-free workplace is enforced.
It takes a lot to maintain all 105 Springfield-Greene County Park Board locations, ranging from neighborhood parks, multi-use recreational facilities, natural resource areas, special use facilities and aquatic facilities. Our departmental maintenance staff work daily to contribute to the care and beautification of over 3,200 acres of park property.
The Park Operations division is the primary division within Parks dedicated to the maintenance and upkeep of our neighborhood and regional parks and facilities. You will find Park Operations staff maintaining our ball fields, trails, structures, pavilions, playground equipment, trees, botanical gardens, and more.
Our Maintenance Workers work full-time, year-round schedules. Most assignments require one weekend day to be part of the set schedule.
