The Polk County Facilities Department has an opening for a Maintenance Worker. This position performs intermediate technical work that includes building maintenance, remodel projects, and semi-skilled repair of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, boilers & HVAC systems.
The Maintenance Worker also operates the building management system and door systems. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and moderate experience in building maintenance, boilers and construction or equivalent

The Maintenance Worker also operates the building management system and door systems.Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and moderate experience in building maintenance, boilers and construction or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of experience in repairing & maintaining water pipe fixtures and other plumbing as well as upkeep of light commercial equipment and boilers as well as custodial work is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
