Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Maintenance Worker - HVAC Technician in South Carolina for a 260-day position. The role requires HVAC knowledge, diagnostic skills, and a SC driver license. Immediate availability with a base rate of $22.29 per hour.

Responsibilities include installation and general maintenance of HVAC equipment, working from blueprints, and supervising junior staff. A negative TB test is required before starting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
• Knowledge of air-conditioning and heating systems (5 years experience).
• HVAC certificate or license.
• Diagnostic skill of heating and air-conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains neat appearance, courteous conduct with staff and maintenance personnel.
• Participates in Board of Education training related to this field.
• Installs and provides general maintenance for HVAC equipment.
• Works from specifications and blueprints.
• Assigns and supervises helpers, apprentices and other semi-skilled workers.
• Plans work schedules and places orders for materials and equipment.
• Provides technical advice to supervisory personnel in areas related to this field.
• Possesses and maintains knowledge of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job Goal: Installation and general maintenance of all air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment within the school system.

• Participates in additional training provided by the Board of Education that would relate to this field of work
