Washington County is seeking a Maintenance Worker to provide skilled maintenance work supporting the Public Works department. The position requires operation of various motorized equipment, including snow plows, and mandates a Class B CDL with the potential to upgrade to a Class A CDL. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of the community by maintaining public facilities and infrastructure.
The Maintenance Worker provides a variety of skilled maintenance work to support Public Works to ensure the safety and security of County residents and visitors.
Must obtain and maintain a Class A CDL with 5th wheel Tractor-Trailer, Manual Transmission, and Tanker Vehicle endorsements within six months of employment, at the employee’s expense.
The finalist will be required to pass a drug test, physical exam, criminal background check, driver's license verification, and DOT Drug/Alcohol testing, all at County expense, before employment begins.
Candidates will be rated based on application materials and top candidates forwarded for further consideration.
7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week. Schedule may change based on department needs.
$26.45 to $31.66 hourly
