ABB in Florida is seeking a Facilities Worker to keep buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning tasks such as floor care, rug shampooing, walls and glass washing, and trash removal. You will also support routine facilities activities and report repair needs to management.

Responsibilities include maintaining restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, offices, conference rooms, and shop floor areas; replenishing supplies; supervising carpet and tile cleaning; operating scrubbing equipment;

Qualifications

• 1 yr. custodial experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible work schedule as required.

This position reports to:

Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Keep buildings clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. Duties may include performing routine facilities, support activities and notifying management of need for repairs.

Core Responsibilities

1. The Facilities Worker is a member of the Facilities Maintenance organization whose primary function is as follows; cleans and maintains aesthetic appearance of all building spaces by vacuuming, Mopping, Dusting and Washing including but not limited to:
   • Rest rooms
   • Kitchen space
   • Break rooms
   • Office spaces
   • Conference rooms
   • Shop Floor
2. Replenishes facility supplies such as Toilet tissue, Paper towels and Room deodorizers. Collects and disposes of refuse from all receptacles within our facility and recycling bins and transports to collection dumpsters.
3. Conducts special cleaning operations as necessary to keep facility carpets and tile floors in an aesthetically proper appearance. This includes spot treatment of carpeting and tile. Also providing oversight of contracted outside services for carpet cleaning of other special services.
4. Operates the shop floor scrubbing equipment either manual or ride on depending on type of floor scrubbing task being performed.
5. Supports and participates in the preparation, execution, and cleanup of special recognition events such as safety milestone luncheons.
6. All other duties as assigned.
