Qualifications

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods as required.

  • Demonstrate safe operation of tools, equipment, and maintenance machinery.
  • Work independently while effectively managing changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, students, faculty, staff, and guests.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of residential units and academic facilities at Alabama A&M. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities and respond to maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment. Compensation for this role is $20.00 to $28.50 per hour.
