Join a workforce where innovation and teamwork provide support to the community and citizens of Monroe County.**Compensation:**$22.99 - $35.63**Job Description:**The primary function of this position is to perform all related repairs and/or maintenance on County facilities and grounds.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Analyzes work order requests and develops a cost-effective and efficient plan in order to complete the job.* Provides a list of materials with prices in order to obtain purchase orders and complete paperwork.* Purchases materials with purchase orders and transports them to the job site location.* Checks and maintains tools and equipment periodically in order to ensure proper operation and safety.* Operates and maintains tools and machinery: lawnmowers, tractors, trucks, hand tools, etc.* Prunes trees and bushes, operates a weed eater, and mows grass.* Operates a leaf blower and picks up trash daily to ensure the grounds are safe and clean.* Performs furniture and office relocations.* Assists with furniture disassembly and reassembly.* Assists with voting machine and ramp delivery, setup, and disassembly* Assists with setting up the use of buildings and grounds for special events.* Completes appropriate paperwork in the performance of daily duties.* Keeps work area clean and organized, and uses safety cones and signage when required.* Attends required training and safety meetings and uses appropriate safety equipment.* Responsible for personally knowing and following the County’s Personnel Policies and Procedures, Administrative Instructions, Department Operating Procedures, and applicable Statutes and Regulations.
