This position also performs semi-skilled work in assisting in repairing and maintaining property and grounds using a variety of machines, tools, equipment, and inmate labor.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Sanitizes restrooms and empties trash.* Vacuums all carpets.* Cleans furniture.* Maintains the appearance of the grounds.* Cleans floors, sweeps, mops, waxes, etc.* Helps move files, desks, furniture, etc.* Dusts desks, shelves, window blinds, etc.* Cleans windows and window seals.* Drives County vehicles transporting tools, equipment, and inmate workers to worksite.* Observes all rules related to the use of inmate labor, including paperwork, supervision, transport, sign-in/sign-out, safety supervision, and adherence of all workers and co-workers to the rules for inmate workers established by the Sheriff.* Maintains required qualifications for signing out inmate workers.* Performs other related job duties as assigned.* In the event of special, emergency, or disaster situations, employee may be required to work schedules other than those for which they are regularly scheduled in any capacity deemed appropriate.**QUALIFICATIONS****Education and Experience:**High School Diploma or GED.
