Lake Forest School District 67 is seeking a 1st Shift, 12-Month Maintenance worker.
Description: The Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance of all district buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical. In addition, they shall perform a majority of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair, adjustment, and maintenance of the building systems, equipment and structures.
Starting rate: $22.24/hour to $23.60/hour
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, grasp, feel, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift. Repetitive motions are required. The employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 80 pounds of force frequently, and up to 50 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Elevated work on ladders and aerial lifts is also required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and is subject to loud noises, heat, cold, humidity, fumes, odors, dust, mists, gasses, chemicals and hazards associated with moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasionally works in close quarters and narrow aisles and passageways.
