Job summary

IHP Hospitality Group in western Puerto Rico is hiring a Maintenance Worker to join our hotel operations. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a base pay of $10.55 per hour and requires a high school diploma.

You must be bilingual in Spanish and English, able to handle cleaning duties according to hotel standards, report maintenance issues promptly, and work rotating shifts including holidays, weekends, and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant work experience.
• Must possess excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Availability to work rotational shifts including holidays, weekends, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Must have excellent knowledge of the process of cleaning a room according to the standards set by Senior and Hotel Supervisor.
• Deliver items to the Lost & Found as policy.
• Immediately report any maintenance problems or any incidents that endanger the health and wellbeing of employees and guests to the Supervisor.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and clean soiled items. Be physically active for long periods.
• Frequently wear safety attire, such as gloves and masks.
• Must meet daily and weekly deadlines.
• Provide feedback of any damage seen in rooms.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the products, including hotel rooms, type of rooms, amenities, services of hotel, etc.
• Report any unusual occurrences immediately to the Supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
