Employment Status: Full-Time/40 hours a week
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some weekends
Reports to: Pastor
Performs a variety of general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment at various facilities and offsite Archdiocesan properties, including minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting. Must be able to perform some janitorial duties as assigned.
Includes assisting with janitorial duties, floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, cleaning high windows, and other tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl; occasionally sit; must lift/move 25-50 pounds frequently.
Work Environment: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to outdoor weather, high places, and chemicals.
High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair, or an acceptable equivalent; ability to communicate with various staff levels.
