General Description

A maintenance Worker at AccessStar Community Living Services is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of the facilities within the community. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. Maintenance Workers may be involved in tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs. They play a crucial role in responding to maintenance requests, addressing issues promptly, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. Additionally, these workers may collaborate with other staff members to coordinate maintenance schedules and contribute to the overall well‑being of the community's infrastructure. Primary Job Functions
  1. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure they meet safety and functionality standards.
  2. Repairs: Address and repair any issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and other aspects of the community's infrastructure.

  4. Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance measures to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems, contributing to the longevity of equipment and facilities.
  5. Groundskeeping: Maintain the outdoor areas, including landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal, to enhance the overall appearance and safety of the community.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and contribute to a cohesive and efficient working environment.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing, to track and report on the condition of facilities.
