Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on maintenance worker to join our El Segundo facility. You will patch walls, repair floors, hang doors, install locks, and replace broken window panes as part of a small maintenance team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial maintenance, can work in indoor/outdoor environments, and understand written or verbal directions from supervisors. Regular attendance is essential to success.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• 3 years of experience doing general maintenance work in a commercial facility.
• Experience in indoor/outdoor building environments.
• Experience hanging doors, installing door locks, and replacing broken window panes preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand verbal or written directions from lead or supervisor.
• Attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound.
• Perform minor repairs or replacements to concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Hang doors and install door locks; replace broken window panes.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Touch up painting or patching of walls.
• Maintain facility grounds with team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment
• Experience hanging doors, installing door locks, and replacing broken window panes preferred but not required
• Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen
• Attendance is required to be successful
