Job summary

Facility Services Management Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform routine repairs and upkeep on buildings and equipment, utilizing skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry.

The role requires at least two years of related experience, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and obtain NACI/LAC clearance after hire; you will join a maintenance team delivering safe, functional spaces.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Replaces belts and filters on air handling units.
  • Patches minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings with plaster/compound.
  • Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • Paints structures and equipment as required.
  • Changes ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and other maintenance items as assigned.
  • Performs landscape and hardscape tasks including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
  • Repairs concrete floors, steps and sidewalks.
  • Inspects interior surfaces and repairs as needed.
  • Maintains equipment and machinery and keeps records.
  • Follows safety procedures and accident prevention plans.

  • Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery, as assigned.
  • Follows company’s safety, health and accident prevention plan while maintaining records in a timely fashion.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces, assist others as part of the maintenance team as required and perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.
