Job summary

Cobb County School District is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support the Maintenance Services division. The role reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance Services and works in the Maintenance Warehouse to assist various trades.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Georgia driver's license. Typically 1 year of facility maintenance experience is preferred, with physical limits noted for lifting and stair/ladder work.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
• At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Physically able to lift 75 pounds and perform climbing tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication; basic electro-mechanical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist trade personnel by completing assigned maintenance tasks.
• Maintain prompt attendance and timely completion of work.
• Keep a positive image with customers, the public and peers.
• Provide on-call coverage 24/7 as needed.
• Submit maintenance database paperwork and meet state/local requirements.
• Maintain parts inventory and vehicle/tools for assigned work.
