Our Team is Kind of a Big Deal!

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Utility Worker to join our community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will assist with maintaining the building and equipment systems by performing basic maintenance, loading and unloading deliveries, painting, operating industrial equipment, and cleaning/blowdowns. We operate on a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime. We have an immediate opening and provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing equipment for plant cleaning, including floor scrubbers, lint/dust removal devices, rubbish removal, and screen cleaning.
• Performing painting tasks around the plant and grounds.
• Operating powered industrial forklifts/lifts to move materials.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Assisting in production receiving activities.
• Maintaining facilities through landscaping, snow removal, and other operations.
• Performing light equipment maintenance tasks such as bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, and pressure washing after training.
• Operating company vehicles like shuttle or route trucks upon certification.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and operate industrial equipment.
• Experience with hand and power tools required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
