Job summary

Hudson Aggregates in Kennedale, TX is seeking a dependable Maintenance / Ground Hand to support daily operations at our aggregate processing facility. The role focuses on mechanical tasks, equipment inspection, and hands-on upkeep in an outdoor industrial environment.

You’ll work with a team, perform preventive maintenance, assist with repairs, and help ensure safety and efficiency. Previous experience in heavy equipment is a plus; MSHA/OSHA training is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• MSHA or OSHA training is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant operations and production activities.
• Assist maintenance personnel during repairs, inspections, and plant shutdowns.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including greasing and basic equipment servicing.
• Assist with changing screens, belts, rollers, hoses, and other wear components.
• Monitor conveyors, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment for potential problems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues.
• Support loader, excavator, and plant operators as needed.
• Perform general plant cleanup and housekeeping.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• Report equipment issues, downtime, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is mechanically minded, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Experience in any of the following is preferred:

• Aggregate or wash plants
• Quarries
• Crushing operations
• Concrete or asphalt plants
• Recycling facilities
• Industrial maintenance or construction
• Conveyors, pumps, crushers, motors, or heavy equipment

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools are important. Previous MSHA or OSHA training is a plus, but not required.

The position requires the ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and changing weather conditions, lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, work safely around heavy equipment, and work longer shifts when operations require it.
