Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Crushing Operations to lead maintenance across multiple plants. You will drive PM programs, optimize equipment availability, and manage budgets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 7+ years of leadership in heavy industry, deep knowledge of crushers and screens, and experience with maintenance data systems. Travel between sites and a focus on continuous improvement are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in aggregates, mining, or heavy industrial operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of crushing and screening equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of MSHA safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site maintenance operations and mobile equipment fleets.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Dossier, ERP systems) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enforce preventative maintenance programs to ensure plant processing equipment is maintained according to company standards.
  • Lead maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize processing equipment availability across our operations.
  • Manage repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, screens, and related equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze plant processing equipment performance data to prevent failures and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee processing equipment allocation, transfers, and utilization across multiple locations to maximize fleet efficiency.
  • Evaluate aging plant equipment and recommend replacement or capital improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all MSHA, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
  • Lead equipment-related incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage plant maintenance budgets, including labor, parts, and capital expenses.
  • Track work orders, purchase orders, and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and cost control.
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership regarding equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Lead, develop, and manage maintenance teams across multiple locations, including mechanics, welders, and technicians.
  • Coordinate plant operator training to ensure proper equipment use and preventative care is maintained.
  • Partner with plant managers and operations leadership to align maintenance priorities with production goals.
  • Maintain strong communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely parts and service support.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Maintenance Manager - Crushing Operations. This position is responsible for leading all maintenance functions for our crushing and screening operations across multiple plant sites. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and cost‑effective maintenance practices in addition to providing training to support continuous production improvement and operational excellence.

Day to Day
  • Oversee and enforce preventative maintenance (PM) programs to ensure plant processing equipment is maintained according to company standards.
