Lake of the Ozarks State Park Marina in Missouri is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help with light upkeep of lodging, retail, restaurants, and employee housing. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with grounds, and support the retail team as needed.
The role requires basic hand-tool knowledge, ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and willingness to work day, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Training is provided, and safety guidelines must be followed to keep facilities clean,
Responsible for the general upkeep and appearance of buildings and grounds, including lodging, retail stores, restaurants, and employee housing. This position focuses on light maintenance tasks to help ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and team members. This position will also help out in Retail as needed.
Receive and complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Maintenance Department policies and procedures.
Assist with tracking and reporting completed work orders.
Perform light general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, removing cobwebs, changing air filters, tightening loose hardware, touch-up painting, and other routine upkeep.
Assist with lawn care and landscaping duties, including watering, weeding, trimming, litter removal, and maintaining outdoor common areas.
Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and grounds.
Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed to support maintenance and operational needs.
Identify and report maintenance issues requiring specialized repairs.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and ladder safety.
Assist other team members with general maintenance tasks as needed.
Provide courteous and timely customer service when responding to guest and employee inquiries.
Understand and support the Company's ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment used for routine facility maintenance.
Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Comfortable using ladders and performing work at moderate heights while following all applicable safety guidelines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Valid driver's license required to operate company vehicles throughout the property.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in custodial work, groundskeeping, housekeeping, facilities support, or general maintenance is preferred but not required.
Training will be provided for routine maintenance tasks.
