Job summary

Fremont County School District No. 2 in Wyoming is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver for a full-time, nine-month position with full benefits. The role offers a flexible schedule with some nights and weekends, and training is available for a CDL if needed.

You will operate the school bus safely, maintain district vehicles, and support students, faculty, and the community. A high school diploma is required; a CDL Class B with P&S endorsement is preferred but not mandatory, with training provided by

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency is required.
• CDL – Class B is required or will train if needed; PS endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus in a safe and effective manner.
• Maintain district vehicles and equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and community patrons.
• Perform basic computer tasks and learn facilities systems.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. SOME NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS POSSIBLE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalency
• CDL – Class B, with a P & S endorsement is preferred but not required to apply. Will train if needed.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Ability to perform all essential job functions
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, faculty, administration and community patrons
• Operate the school bus in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
• Maintain district vehicles and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height occasionally
• Ability to push / pull a minimum of 50pounds frequently
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to perform lawn care and landscape maintenance
• Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn facilitiessystems
