Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Maintenance Training Coordinator to serve as a liaison for department training, develop training plans and curricula, and coordinate with plant teams to meet training requirements.

You will administer training records in SABA, vet external vendors, support tours for candidates and apprentices, and ensure training matrices stay up to date, reinforcing a safe, skilled, and compliant maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with manufacturing experience and mechanical/electrical understanding.
• Indirect relevant experience: pursuing related degree or certification.
• Must be a Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech with at least 90 days of service and be in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs with plant management and propose solutions.
• Administer in SABA; manage training requests and records.
• Coordinate with vendors for external trainings when necessary.
• Support plant tours for candidates and apprentices.
• Maintain training requirements across departments; update training matrix.
• Audit trainings annually; ensure accuracy.
• Plan and schedule apprenticeship and member trainings with other shop coordinators.
• Other duties as assigned.
