Job summary

JSX seeks a Maintenance Training Instructor to develop and deliver high-quality training for Technical Operations Crewmembers. You will plan, update, and evaluate curriculum aligned with FAA guidance and JSX policies, while coordinating with leadership and regulatory bodies.

You will also maintain training records, conduct indoctrination, and ensure timely recurring training across shifts, upholding safety and regulatory standards throughout the JSX fleet.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of air carrier Maintenance & Engineering or MRO experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, Production Control, Quality, Material, Reliability, or Technical Writing.
  • Current FAA A&P certificate.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and instructional skills.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with virtual training platforms.
  • Experience conducting aviation-related research and authoring or editing technical documentation.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, deliver, review, and evaluate required Maintenance Training Program courses in accordance with FAA guidance and JSX policies.
  • Develop, update, and maintain courseware, training aids, assessments, and supporting materials for technical training programs.
  • Identify training requirements based on applicable regulations.
  • Develop new training content based on maintenance standards and trainee needs.
  • Conduct indoctrination training for Technical Operations Crewmembers.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison between trainees and leadership on training matters.
  • Monitor, document, and remediate trainee performance.
  • Ensure required recurrent training is completed on schedule.
  • Maintain audit-ready training records.
  • Stay current with policy/regulatory changes and update training accordingly.
  • Coordinate with government oversight and external training providers.
