Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd. in Broomfield, CO seeks a Maintenance Training Instructor to provide maintenance and familiarization instruction to operators and service center technicians in line with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, OEM docs, and FAA standards.

You’ll develop and update training materials, deliver on-site and at customer locations domestically and internationally, and collaborate with the training department to ensure Pilatus standards are met across courses worldwide.

Qualifications

• A&P license required; IA preferred.
• 5 years aviation experience with at least 2 in maintenance/ development.
• Familiarity with Pilatus PC-12/PC-24 systems and troubleshooting.
• FSI instructor qualification to be provided by FSI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Pilatus maintenance and familiarization courses on site and at customer locations.
• Prepare and maintain teaching materials, exams, and regulatory documents.
• Update course material to reflect aircraft configuration changes.
• Develop new course material and support intra-company training.
• Coordinate with training department to uphold Pilatus standards.
• Assist with intra-company training and trade show participation as needed.

Pilatus is hiring a Maintenance Training Instructor to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will provide Pilatus Maintenance and Familiarization instruction to operators and Service Center technicians in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, other OEM documentation, and FAA standards. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Conducts Pilatus Maintenance, Familiarization, and Troubleshooting Courses on site and at customer locations, domestically, and internationally
• Prepares and maintains up-to-date teaching materials, training aids, exam papers, technical regulations, and documents
• Actively updates and improves course material to reflect aircraft configuration changes pertaining to operation and maintenance
• Prepares theoretical and practical training materials for Pilatus maintenance courses and intra-company training courses
• Develops new course material and keeps up to date in area of expertise
• Works closely with Pilatus/Stans training department to contribute to quality improvement processes and ensure training courses meet Pilatus standards for all courses conducted worldwide

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Conducts intra-company training as required
• Assists Technical Service Engineering (TSE) group during time between courses
• Assists Marketing department with trade show participation as requested
• Carries out additional duties and projects as assigned by Director
• Cleans and maintains training facilities and equipment

Skills/Qualifications

• A&P license required, IA preferred
• 5 years aviation experience with at least 2 in aircraft construction/maintenance/development
• Thorough PC-12 and PC-24 knowledge and previous instruction/training experience preferred
• Knowledge of other corporate turboprop and jet aircraft, engines, and systems a plus
• Flight Safety International (FSI) instructor qualification (to be provided by FSI)
• Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills required
• Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
• Strong sense of initiative, attention to detail, an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Good computer skills including MS Windows and MS Office
• Valid passport and approximately 25% travel required, up to 2 weeks at a time
• This position involves access to technology that is subject to U.S. export controls. Any job offer made will be contingent upon the applicant’s capacity to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.

The hiring range is $86,000 - $107,000 per year. This range represents Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.’s estimate of the compensation reasonably expected for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant skills and experience, education, job location, internal equity, market data, and business considerations. The hiring range may be modified in the future based on business or market conditions. Any bonus, incentive compensation, benefits, or other forms of compensation are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans, programs, and policies and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.
