Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL in Portage, MI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our plastic injection tooling operations and repair activities.

You will perform emergency repairs, fabricate tooling to engineering directions, and coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance while recording daily activities in our maintenance system. Strong problem-solving skills and safety-mindedness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Plastic Injection Tool and Die Repair
• Modify and/or fabricate blueprint tooling equipment from engineering direction
• Component part fabrication from sample and/or prints
• Coordinate and perform Preventative Maintenance of plastic injection tools
• Work within the Centralized Maintenance management system to record personal daily activities
• Organize and complete scheduled PM’s, manufacturing continuous events/projects that are assigned.
• Utilize trouble shooting techniques/root cause analysis to determine the corrective action on problem/issues with plasticinjection molds
