Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) seeks a Maintenance Test Pilot for MH-47G aircraft. You will perform MTF, FTF, and MOC duties on MH-47G series aircraft and use ground and in-flight diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities include demonstrating instrument proficiency, annual flight evaluations by IP and MTFE, and ensuring ATM tasks are completed for flight duties.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified in MH-47G or CH-47F MDS aircraft.
• Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
• At least 100 hours PIC in MH-47G or CH-47F.
• Minimum 50 hours as Maintenance Test Pilot on MH-47G or CH-47F.
• Current FAA Class 2 Flight Physical and instrument rating.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Active Secret Clearance.
• Willing to travel CONUS up to 2 weeks per trip.

Job description

This position is a MaintenanceTest Pilot for the MH-47G helicopter. Duties include but are not limited to MTF (Maintenance Test Flight), FTF (Functional Test Flight), and MOC (Maintenance Operational Checks) on customer MH-47G series aircraft. The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) shall perform testing, including the use of ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment.

• Undergo an annual flight evaluation conducted by both an Instructor Pilot (IP) and Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (MTFE).
• Ensure that all Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) tasks required for assigned flight duties are accomplished (non-tactical base tasks).

Qualifications

• The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) must be qualified in the MH-47G or CH-47F MDS aircraft.
• Candidate must have no less than a combined 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time.
• The Pilot-in-Command time must include a minimum of 100 hours in the MH-47G or CH-47F aircraft.
• A minimum of 50-hours logged as Maintenance Test Pilot on MH-47G or CH-47F aircraft.
• DA Form 759 and flight records are required to prove currency/ratings.
• Candidates rated only on the CH-47F will require an approved waiver from the Government Flight Representative and AMCOM for the MDS specific rating. The candidate will be required to complete the MH-47G course of instruction.
• Candidates must be graduates of the AMOC I and II course.
• Candidate must possess and maintain a current FAA Class 2 Flight Physical.
• Candidate shall possess an instrument rating on their FAA Commercial Certificates.
• Must be willing to travel (CONUS travel) in support of aircraft maintenance. Travel could be up to 2 weeks per trip.
• Must possess or can obtain an Active Secret Clearance (Interim Secret Clearance Required to start).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
