Job summary

Dynamic Source Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technologist to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electro-mechanical-pneumatic equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will drive TPM, manage CMMS records, and collaborate across departments to keep production on track.

The role requires an Electronics/Mechanical Technician Diploma, experience with Fuji/Siemens SMT P&P, strong communication, and the ability to work rotating shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• Electronics or Mechanical Technician/Technologist Diploma.
• Experience with Fuji/Siemens SMT Pick and Place machines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to set up and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Experience designing simple tooling, jigs or fixtures.
• Experience selecting suppliers and negotiating costs.
• Experience overseeing machine installations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical-pneumatic machinery and equipment. This individual will have a considerable initiative to multi task in a fast paced environment and work proficiently both individually and as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program
• Coordinate records maintained via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Source and utilize alternate suppliers for Maintenance spares and materials, in conjunction with the Procurement Specialist
• Communicate pertinent information to and resolve problems with various departments within organization
• Develop and implement systems to maintain records on members, equipment, and compliance activities
• Provide administrative, customer service and technical training for department members.
• Support Maintenance practices and policies using Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, VSM, spaghetti diagrams etc)
• Provide technical expertise to support SMT production and Engineering personnel
• Provide administrative maintenance schedule, work order backlog, and equipment history records
• Maintain equipment list and numbering system for calibration and preventative maintenance schedule
• Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of DSM’s safety program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Electronics or Mechanical Technician or Technologist Diploma
• Experience with Fuji/Siemens SMT Pick and Place machines preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop & implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Ability to set up and maintain spare parts inventory
• Experience with designing simple tooling, jigs or fixtures
• Experience with selecting suppliers and negotiating costs
• Experience in overseeing machine installations
• An aptitude for attention to detail
• Available to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)Available for periodic overtime
