Job summary

Spotlight Staff in Chattanooga, TN is seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support manufacturing operations. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background with electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and industrial machinery experience.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of motors, bearings, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Repair and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and other mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, sensors, switches, relays, and control components.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components.
• Perform equipment installations, adjustments, and changeovers as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems before failures occur.
• Assist with facility maintenance as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA, lockout/tagout, PPE, and company safety procedures.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair status with supervisors and production teams.

Job Summary

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, heat, and other industrial conditions
• Ability to safely work from ladders or elevated areas when required
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
