Job description

Maintenance Technician / Weekend Warrior Shift

Danfoss has an opening for a Weekend Warrior Industrial Maintenance Technician, supporting the Maintenance Technician Lead in installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment throughout the plant.

This position involves regular interaction with colleagues in the Maintenance Department and various other departments within the plant, including Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Quality Engineers, to maintain or troubleshoot equipment such as manufacturing machinery and technical systems.

The working hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, with potential overtime.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems to identify faulty components.
  2. Test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using volt meters, Meggers, and other testing tools.
  3. Analyze test results and error messages to diagnose equipment issues.
  4. Repair and maintain Fanuc/ABB Robotics, CNC Machines, Mazak/Makino Machining Centers.
  5. Replace faulty modules and field components.
  6. Install and maintain hydraulic circuits, including hoses, relief valves, and proportional valves.
  7. Maintain all industrial production equipment, including test stands and material handling devices.
  8. Perform automation troubleshooting, including motors, motor starters, and VFDs.
  9. Repair inventory and quality control systems such as visual recognition, RFID, and dot matrix printers.
  10. Follow all safety rules, including PPE, NFPA-70, NEC, and OSHA standards.
Background & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Two years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics and blueprints is a plus.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with fieldbuses (Profinet, Profibus, EIP, DeviceNet) for troubleshooting.
  • Team player willing to work overtime and eager to learn.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for long periods, handle tools, reach, walk, talk, hear, sit, and work near moving parts. Must wear PPE and be able to work with fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
