Barchemy, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, under the Director of Maintenance.

The role involves troubleshooting and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on production lines, with electrical/mechanical responsibilities, equipment changeovers, and a drug-free workplace in Donora, PA. Flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • Requires 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Capable of reading and following manufacturer’s schematics/specifications.
  • Good communication and reliability; able to work extended shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and provide immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitate change‑over.
  • Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Repair mechanical equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, liquid fillers, motors, and conveyors.
  • Repair electrical equipment including motor control centers, fill/seal equipment, cooling tunnels.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Help with installation of new equipment.
  • Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
  • Perform equipment change‑overs and production line set ups.

Job Summary

Accepting applications for a skilled maintenance technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structure. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the maintenance tech will be responsible for general and preventative maintenance and changeovers plant wide.

Job Description
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating change‑over.
  • Capable of performing preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance with nominal technical assistance.
  • Repair mechanical equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, liquid fillers, motors, and conveyors.
  • Repair electrical equipment including motor control centers, fill/seal equipment, cooling tunnels.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Help with installation of new equipment.
  • Provide direct support to production, sanitation and quality systems related to ensuring company policies and procedures including Hazard Material Handling.
  • Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Responsible for food safety and quality.
  • Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
  • Perform equipment change‑overs and production line set ups.
  • Assist with facility maintenance.
  • Electrical experience needed.
Job Location
  • Plants located in Donora Industrial Park (2 locations).
  • Plant runs 24 hours 5 to 6 days a week – must be flexible with hours.
  • Drug free workplace.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a production line or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of mechanical electrical experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must come to work on time.
  • Ability to not call off on a repeated basis.
  • Must be able to understand and follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics.
  • Excellent ability to communicate system problems to management.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10‑hour shifts.
Preferred Experience
  • Maintenance Mechanic: 2 years (Preferred) in a production line or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
