Job summary

Barchemy LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structure. Under the Director of Maintenance, the technician will be responsible for general and preventative maintenance and change overs plant wide.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and timely repairs to production lines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a production line or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years mechanical and electrical experience required.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s specifications and schematics.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production lines and provide immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support.
• Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repair mechanical equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, motors, and conveyors; electrical equipment including MCCs and fill/seal equipment.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and change-overs.
• Generate and complete work orders; manage parts requests and inventory; maintain safe work area.

Job Summary

Accepting applications for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structure. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the maintenance tech will be responsible for general and preventative maintenance and change overs plant wide.

Job Description

• Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating change‑over.
• Capable of performing preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance with nominal technical assistance.
• Repair mechanical equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, liquid fillers, motors, and conveyors.
• Repair electrical equipment including motor control centers, fill/seal equipment, and cooling tunnels.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Help with installation of new equipment.
• Provide direct support to production, sanitation and quality systems related to ensuring company policies and procedures including hazardous material handling.
• Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.
• Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory.
• Responsible for food safety and quality.
• Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
• Perform equipment change‑overs and production line set ups.
• Assist with facility maintenance.
• Electrical experience needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a production line or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical experience required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must come to work on time and not call off on a repeated basis.
• Must be able to understand and follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics.
• Excellent ability to communicate system problems to management.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Additional Experience

• Maintenance Mechanic: 2 years (Preferred) in a production line or manufacturing environment.
• Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.

Job Location

• Plants located in Donora Industrial Park (2 locations).
• Plant runs 24 hours, 5 to 6 days a week – must be flexible with hours.
• Drug‑free workplace.
• Shift: 1st Shift.
