Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production lines with equipment assembly and maintenance. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues, developing repair strategies, and guiding product builders and technicians. This onsite position carries a 35.10 USD hourly rate with bonus eligibility and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar.
  • Strong PLC and Electrical Controls experience and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures of production machines in a timely manner.
  • Independently determine and develop approach to machinery repair and troubleshooting.
  • Own full knowledge of motion controls and electrical/pneumatic operations to resolve complex machine issues on the production line.
  • Lead collaborative efforts in major repairs and exercise discretion on repairs of major breakdowns.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled and seek PM program improvements.
  • Conduct moderately complex troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Follow quality system requirements in all activities and documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing and executing maintenance procedures through change control.

Work Flexibility: Onsite

Schedule:

Friday: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday: 6:45 am – 7:00 pm; Monday: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm. OT Required.

What you will do:

This position conducts equipment assembly and operations support activities including preventive maintenance program requirements, product and process support, troubleshooting and resolving problems. This role responds to the demands of the production lines including needs for increased equipment support as customer demands may require.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures of production machines in a timely manner while seeking opportunities to eliminate reoccurring failures

  • Independently determines and develops approach to machinery repair and troubleshooting

  • Full knowledge of motion controls, industrial controls, electrical and pneumatic operations to resolve complex machine issues on the production line

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of repairs to major breakdowns and often lead collaborative efforts in major repairs

  • Perform PM work (preventative maintenance) as scheduled and seek opportunities for improvement to PM program

  • Conduct moderately complex troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment

  • Conduct activities, tasks, and documentation per quality system requirements

  • Assist in reviewing and executing maintenance procedures through the change control process

  • Communicate with and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians

What you will need:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree Engineering or Science

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar

  • Strong PLC and Electrical Controls experience and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic troubleshooting

$35.10 Hourly plus bonus eligible + benefits
