Article Student Living is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH to uphold safety, appearance, and daily upkeep across the property. You will support maintenance operations and provide professional service to residents, with an emphasis on customer-friendly responses and a neat personal appearance.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will handle HVAC basics, appliance repair, drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks as needed.

You will ensure the outlook of the grounds, community areas, and overall curb appeal for the property. The daily responsibilities of the role will vary, depending on the needs of the community. You will provide professional service to the residents, so excellent customer service and a maintained personal appearance is an expectation.

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
The pay is $28 per hour, plus commission.
Support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring a safe environment for staff and residents
Resolve issues that may arise in the community of the building and property
Provide suggestions for opportunities for improvement and efficiency
On-call during certain times of the month
1+ years of related maintenance or construction work experience, with hands-on exposure to the day-to-day repair and upkeep needs of a residential or commercial property.
Customer service focused, with a professional and well-maintained appearance and the ability to interact directly with residents in a courteous, responsive manner.
Basic knowledge of residential HVAC systems, including the ability to identify common issues, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate more complex repairs with licensed vendors as needed.
Some experience with appliance repair and installation, covering common in-unit appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and washers/dryers.
Working knowledge of drywall repair, including patching, sanding, and finishing to restore walls and ceilings to a move-in-ready standard.
Comfortable performing interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, cutting-in, and rolling to match existing finishes.
Basic plumbing knowledge, including the ability to address common issues such as leaks, clogs, running toilets, and fixture repairs or replacements.
Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to safely troubleshoot and resolve common issues such as outlet, switch, and fixture repairs or replacements.
