Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the VCU Health Stony Point Campus mid-shift (12pm–8:30pm Tue–Sat; 7am–3:30pm Sat). The role performs a variety of maintenance tasks and supports patient/staff comfort with building systems.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with building automation systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
• Driver's license with clean record required.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems.
• Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment, replace plumbing fixtures, rodding drains/pipes, identify leaks, rebuild flush valves.
• Supervise and adjust building automation system for patient/staff comfort.
• Generator testing/inspections; replace lighting fixtures and ceiling tiles; respond to building issues.
• Use drawings/diagrams/manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Coordinate work with vendors/contractors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on emergency power, lighting, HVAC, and other systems.
• Conduct building and mechanical room inspections per maintenance program.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of maintenance duties. This is a second shift 12pm to 8:30pm Tues-Sat schedule (you will work 7am to 3:30pm on Saturday's)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting equipment sets, replacing plumbing fixtures, rodding drains and pipes, identifying and stopping leaks, rebuilding flush valves.
• Supervising and making adjustments to the building automation system for patient/staff comfort.
• Generator testing and inspections, replacing light fixtures and light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles and responding to general building issues.
• Using drawings, wiring diagrams, operations & maintenance manuals for troubleshooting, diagnosing and making repairs.
• Coordinating specialized work with vendors and contractors.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks on the emergency power system, emergency lighting, ice machines and refrigerators, HVAC equipment and other building systems as assigned.
• Conduct building and mechanical room inspections in accordance with maintenance program.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems.
• Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.
